What you need

unsalted butter

1 tbsp unsalted butter

brown sugar

1 ½ tbsp brown sugar

milk

vanilla extract

¼ tsp vanilla extract

all purpose flour

2 ½ tbsp all purpose flour

cornstarch

¼ tsp cornstarch

baking soda

1 pinch baking soda

baking powder

1 pinch baking powder

salt

chocolate chunks

1 ½ tbsp chocolate chunks

Instructions

Cream butter and brown sugar until smooth. Mix in milk and vanilla. Add flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chunks. Shape into one cookie, slightly flatten and bake at 350°F/175°C for 9 to 11 minutes, until golden around the edges but still soft in the centre.
